Diane M. Magers, CCXP

Interim CEO

diane@cxpa.org

Diane serves at the CEO and helps support providing value and community for each and every member and partner. She is a firm believer that it "take a village" to help everyone succeed. She knows our work as CX practitioners is very tough and extremely important. Anyone who knows Diane would say she's very passionate about customer and employee experience and a driven change agent. Diane has over 25 years experience building and transforming organizations around their customers and employees – from front line to infrastructure - working in and with brands such as Sysco, Invisalign and AT&T.

  • She started her professional career as a clinical psychologist
  • Her first business venture with a friend started in the basement of his house and the company to $3M and 140 employees 4 years later - the entrepreneurial bug was born!
  • She was an exchange student to Australia in high school, which launched her passion for travel

 

Jaime Nolan, CAE, CGT

Association Consultant

 

Jaime Nolan, CAE, is founder and owner of IntrinXec Management Inc., the CXPA's association management company located in Minneapolis, MN. Jaime manages the daily operations of the growing business including management of the company’s vision and strategic plan. Additionally, Jaime works with other associations on strategic planning, board governance, leadership training, and organizational culture. Jaime’s role for CXPA is to serve as a governance and leadership consultant for our rapidly growing association, as well as to oversee the IntrinXec team who supports CXPA.

Jessica Burgus

Controller

 

According to her four younger brothers and sisters, “controller” is a very appropriate title for Jessica. Jessica is the Controller for IntrinXec, our association’s Association Management Company, where she also serves as the controller of CXPA. Jess has held a number of finance positions, at companies such as Enterprise and ev3, that have contributed to her current success. Through challenges, and some failures, she has learned how to be a leader and build trust with everyone she meets.

Quick Facts About Jessica:

  • Her time outside of the office includes being a mother of two teenage girls and a surrogate mother to a large handful of nieces and nephews.
  • Her two favorite past times – pounding nails (building stuff) and drinking wine. Or … she might be trying to escape her nerdy, trumpet-playing, blonde afro self of the late eighties …

Keely Cogswell

Events Coordinator

Keely joined the IntrinXec team as the Events Coordinator for CXPA. Her rich background in medical marketing and event planning, both domestically and internationally, has helped Keely quickly become comfortable the with the requirements of current CXPA events. As the CXPA continues to expand their international presence, Keely's knowledge will play a significant role. A true go-getter, she double majored in Business Management and Business Administration. Her passion for developing impactful and memorable meetings with emphasis on detail, make her a natural fit with the CXPA. Her time outside the office includes being a mother of a young son, crafting, kayaking one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes & rivers, and gardening.

Quick facts about Keely

  • She is a huge animal advocate and volunteered rescuing animals in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
  • Is an amateur Geologist “Rockhound” with a minor in Geology.
  • Has a passion for travel and wants to travel the world, meet new people, experience new cultures and learn how to be a better global citizen.

Blia Lee

Assistant Account Executive

Blia joined the IntrinXec team as the Assistant Account Executive for CXPA. Blia supports the CXPA in numerous ways including CCXP candidate support and services as well as assisting staff with various in-house projects. Her background in Management and Office Administration has given her the skills to successfully execute any task given. She is a strong individual who majored in Business Management with a minor in Project Management. Her passion for managing projects and accomplishing them makes her a perfect match with CXPA.

Jessica Bartram, CM, CMP

Membership Services

Jess grew up around associations, conferences and board meetings and feels right at home in the nonprofit world. Her parents started an association management company when she was 9 years old and took her with them as they traveled for client conventions, board meetings and retreats. She learned early what the industry was about and what it took to be in it … all while enjoying the free trips around the globe at such a young age.

As she got older, her breadth of experience grew as well. While most of you enjoyed your after-school specials, she was filing membership applications and typing renewal notices … on a typewriter. She has since worked in areas such as marketing, business development, membership services, meeting management and the executive director role. Her particular passion revolves around events, specifically conventions. The more sessions, the more speakers, the more attendees and the more exhibitors, the more amped up she gets. Do you remember Tasmanian Devil? That’s her at her happiest. She even makes those same sounds from time to time.

Since her time as a peanut in the industry, she has worked for three association management companies and the nation’s largest event general services contractor, Freeman, as an account manager. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at a local college in their Meeting and Event Management AAS program.

Jess received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification in 2013 which is recognized globally as the badge of excellence in the meeting, convention, exhibition and event industry. Given her passion, that day was more exciting for her than the day she graduated from college.

After being a cheerleading captain in high school, there isn’t much that Jessica feels she can’t accomplish with hard work, practice, and of course, the right team. She’s still trying to teach her IntrinXec teammates some cheers. Catch her in the right mood and she might just show you!

 

 

Lesley Lykins, CCXP

Executive Director

Raised on a farm in Ohio, I grew up learning how to milk goats. I accepted a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corp scholarships to Boston University as a method of escaping Ohio. After graduating with a degree in General Management I started my career driving warships for the Navy. After three years in the Navy's Surface Warfare community, I was selected as one of the Navy's 200 public affairs officers. I had opportunities to collaborate and lead major Navy outreach opportunities including New York City Fleet Week, and ended my active career in the Navy standing up the Navy's social media program. I had a brief stint as a community manager for SocialMedia.org and then was blessed to be introduced to CXPA. It is my pleasure to serve as the association's Executive Director. On the home front, I spend time fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, participating as a leader in my church and am a wife and mother of four young children living once again back in Ohio. (No goats this time!)

  • She loves to cycle and has completed multiple century (100 mile) rides
  • She won the 4-H state title twice for her public speaking demonstrations while in high school
  • Lesley ran into Goonies Star Sean Astin on an elevator and it took 11 floors for her to realize who he was 

 

Adrienne Bryant, CAE

Digital Experience / CCXP Program Director

Adrienne joined the IntrinXec team as a the program manager for CXPA. A Rising Star in the association industry (and we aren’t using that term lightly - she received the “Rising Star” award from the Florida Society of Association Executives!) Adrienne is passionate about the customer experience and lifelong learning.

Derik Iverson

Membership Community Manager

Derik is very excited to work with the CXPA as a Membership Community Manager. His focus will be on providing service, connections, and resources to Local Networking Groups and CCXP candidates and designees. His background in Customer Service, Retail Management, and Marketing Communications has honed his passion for building strong, connected communities. He holds a B.F.A in Theatre Acting from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and when he’s not at his desk, he loves to be involved in his current city’s theatre scene both onstage and off.

  • He is a 90’s pop culture junkie
  • Was slimed at Nickelodeon studios as a kid and has a certificate to prove it
  • Very connected to his Nordic roots and has thousands of pages of classic Nordic recipes he loves to cook

Molly Perrin

Membership Community Manager

Molly is happy to join CXPA as a Membership Community Manager. Originally from and currently residing in the Minneapolis area, she has a degree in Psychology from Beloit College in Wisconsin. She comes from a non-profit background, and most recently spent time managing communications for a local professional association. She is passionate about process improvement and effectively communicating messages to members.

Quick facts about Molly:

  • She and her husband have an 85-pound Rottweiler puppy and two black cats.
  • During a semester abroad in Denmark, she visited 12 European countries (Italy is her favorite).
  • The comedian Louie Anderson showed up to her wedding!

Stephanie Thum, CCXP

Executive Strategist, CX Content

Stephanie was a founding member of CXPA and recently joined the headquarters team as executive strategist, CX content. Stephanie helps to make sure CXPA’s public-facing content, Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) certification application processes, and sponsorships harmonize with the CXPA brand, quality standards, and strategic goals. She also advises the CXPA staff on the concepts, principles, practices, and trends impacting the CX profession.

Quick facts about Stephanie

  • Her first job was in broadcasting. She spent several years as a DJ, copywriter, and newscaster at multiple radio stations.
  • She was one of the first federal government agency-level customer experience leaders and served as an adviser to President Obama’s multi-agency task force on customer experience improvement in government.
  • She loves to dance and is certified to teach Les Mills Sh’Bam dance fitness classes. She also loves to dance salsa and bachata.
